My name is Sebastian Sturm. I studied geology at the University of Münster from 2005 to 2011. After finishing my Master of Science at the Institut für Planetologie in 2011, I moved to Freiburg and finished my PhD in Geology at the University of Freiburg in June 2016. In the same year, I moved from Germany to Iceland, where I lived for more than five years. Since 2022, I am back at the University of Freiburg as a post-doc research scientist at the Institute of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the department for General Geology and Structural Geology.

I like to explore the nature and geology of the Earth and other planetary objects. Under these circumstances, I want to share my gained knowledge and interests in this field.

Beside my job and my passion for geology, I like to take photos, play football or basketball, or just like to relax with movies and friends.
